Thermojet was founded in 2000, when the engineer and entrepreneur Ricardo Leite Passos gathered a group of colleagues to acquire the Special Heating & Cooling Division of the company Brasimet, where they worked. They became partners and brought all the technical experience acquired by the Lindberg company, which in 1977 introduced convective heating in South America, and was later incorporated by Brasimet.
At the time of its foundation, Thermojet primarily served the glass and steel industries, offering thermal input in starts and stops, with a heating characterized by the equalization of temperatures over long extensions and high thermal uniformity, far superior to that provided by the methods then known.
Born with the excellence of the companies that gave rise to it, Thermojet grew at an accelerated pace, doubling in size annually in each of its first 10 years. The Company began to carry out large works, in plants with a capacity of tens of millions of tons per year, which serves in an agile way with its more than 250 combustion sets.
In 2006, was consolidated as the most experienced company in the thermal input at the start of coke in the country, after performing the drying and the heating of 320 furnaces for Sun Coke Plant Tubarão – ES, Brazil.
The success and recognition of the Company´s methods earned the representation of Glass Service for all of Latin America and the opening of branches in Argentina and Colombia. Thermojet broke borders, applying solutions in several countries of South and Central America.
Today, Thermojet continues to be the leader in Thermal Engineering in Latin America. With a history of more than 20,000 heatings, the portfolio has started from the drying and the heating of refractories and today also offers services such as controlled cooling, thermal comfort, refractory preservation, among others. Specialist in Thermal Engineering, with more than 40 years of experience in the market, he worked on the precursors of convective heating in South America: Lindberg and Brasimet.As Thermojet President, the executive has being prioritizing people, safety and innovation.
Ricardo believes that it is essential for the company to always be reinventing itself and bringing more technology to serve the market, reducing the number of resources and ensuring more efficiency in operations
In 2005, Thermojet filed its first patent, institutionalizing its innovative vocation that continues to this day with more than 2% of revenue invested in R&D.
Ricardo and his collaborators have made Thermojet a leader in the Latin America Thermal Engineering market and now seek to make it a global reference.
